My Journey of Resilience
My story began in childhood, navigating the complexities of foster care and the profound transition of adoption at the age of four. In those early years, I carried a deep longing for belonging and struggled to find my place in the world around me.
As I grew, the challenges of adolescence brought another difficult chapter: an eating disorder. Through these experiences, I began to discover a quiet but powerful resilience—not as something that made life easy, but as a capacity to keep growing, reflecting, and finding my way forward.
Over time, my journey led me toward a life rooted in wellness, leadership, and a deeper understanding of the human experience. I came to recognize that healing isn't linear, belonging begins with how we understand ourselves, and meaningful growth often starts with the courage to meet our own stories with compassion.
“Resilience is not the absence of struggle, but the presence of a grounded, compassionate way forward.”
Today, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work as a speaker and facilitator. Whether leading women's retreats or facilitating workshops on identity, resilience, and belonging, I strive to create welcoming spaces where people feel safe to reflect, connect, and explore what's possible beyond adversity.
My hope is that these conversations remind people that their past does not have to determine their future—and that even through life's most challenging transitions, we can build lives shaped by purpose, connection, and a deeper sense of belonging.
